Chief Minister KCR laid foundation stone for Hyderabad Airport Metro Corridor Today ( December 9, 2022).
Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday morning laid the foundation stone for the construction of ambitious Hyderabad Airport Express Metro Project undertaken by the Telangana State
Government, from Rayadurgam Mind Space Junction to Shamshabad Airport to meet the future needs of Hyderabad, which emerged as a Cosmopolitan city. CM KCR performed Bhoomi Puja and laid the foundation stone for the Metro Project. Later, the CM unveiled the plaque.
CM KCR's speech on the occasion of laying the foundation stone for new Metro Line Project - Highlights:
• Developing the Hyderabad City to the amazement of the world.
• Hyderabad is growing faster than other cities in the country.
• In view of the future needs of Hyderabad, the 31 km metro project from Mind Space to the Airport is
being taken by the state government.
• The Hyderabad is more historical city than the national capital Delhi.
• At one point, Hyderabad was the city larger in area and population than the national capital Delhi.
• Hyderabad has got electricity supply in 1912 and power supply to Madras ( currently Chennai)
started in 1927 only .
• Hyderabad has become a cosmopolitan city as the city embraced all communities, castes, religions
and races.
• Hyderabad has a temperate climate. The city is safe from earthquakes.
• People from all states and countries with different languages and cultures are dwelling in Hyderabad.
• People from different states of the country like to live in this Bhagyanagar.
• Gulzar House near Charminar dates back 300 years.
• In united Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad was not developed due to the negligence of the united rulers.
• Industrialists staged a dharna at Indira Park demanding for power supply.
• People also faced drinking water crises. Today water problem was solved.
• No clearance to the schemes launched from River Krishna and Godavari. We got those clearances and completing the works.
• Today, Hyderabad has become an island in the power sector.
.New York, London and Paris may witness power outage but not in Hyderabad.
• With uninterrupted power, 500 big industries opened their outlets in Hyderabad today. Thousands of people got employment.
• Flyovers and underpasses have been constructed in Hyderabad under the SRDP. Today Hyderabad is becoming a traffic free city.
• 40 floor and 60 floor skyscrapers are coming up in Hyderabad .
• Demand for office space increased in Hyderabad. Real estate and construction sector are booming after TS Government introduced TS BPASS.
• Due to the increased air traffic at the airport, a second runway is also going to be constructed.• We are constructing 31 km metro with an investment of Rs 6,250 crore.
• Local MLAs brought to his notice about land problems and the Government will resolve.
• 4.50 lakh people are travelling in Hyderabad by Metro Rail every day.
• Metro is the only way to avoid pollution and avoid traffic congestion.
• Need to extend Metro across Hyderabad.
• Metro will come up to BHEL and Outer Ring Road in future.
• Will develop the Metro even without the cooperation of the centre
• More works need to be undertaken under the leadership of state Municipal Administration Minister KTR.
• Temperature on earth is increasing. Hyderabad City received Green City Award for increasing greenery.
• World Best Green City and Best Livable City awards have also come. Congratulations to the officials and public representatives.
• We are proud that Hyderabad has become a true cosmopolitan city in the country.
• There is a need to provide all the basic needs to meet the ever growing population in Hyderabad.
• Sate government will extend financial support to strengthen the civic infrastructure in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad Metro Rail taken up the metro construction with the latest technology covering a distance of 31 km from Mind Space Junction to Shamshabad Airport. This new facility will provide hassle free public transportation for a just 26 minutes between the new corridor. Along with pillars, underground railway line on a stretch of 2.50 km will also be constructed in the new corridor. Aero dynamic technology will be used to travel at a speed of 120 km on this metro line which will be built along the Outer Ring Road. Airport metro stations will be equipped with closed circuits as compared to the existing metro stations. The platform gates will open only when the train arrives. 9 stations will be built from Rayadurgam to the Airport. Cargo line and passenger line will be developed separately. This Airport Metro Corridor construction project will be completed in three years.
