Every educated youngster must know importance of CPR: SLG Hospitals
- Renowned Doctors hold a practical workshop on CPR for students of GRIET
- Session organized to commemorate the National Bone & Joints Day
Commenting on the session, Dr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Senior Consultant Orthopedics & Joint Replacement Surgeon, SLG Hospitals said, “Road traffic accidents are among the most common causes of deaths in India, and if attended to in the first hour / golden hour of an incident, lives of many victims can be saved. Resuscitation is an important aspect in saving an accident victim, and a greater number of Indians’ gaining practical knowledge of CPR, will help save more lives. While enhanced knowledge of CPR is good for the society at large, there can be no alternate to following all necessary safety protocols while walking or driving on roads.”
“Most people, who watch movies or television have a basic understanding of CPR, even if they haven’t been formally trained. CPR can save a life, but most people will not step in to do it due to the fear of going wrong. Such training sessions will give bystanders the confidence they need to jump into action when someone needs them. And I strongly believe, every educational institution from high schools to places of higher education, must conduct CPR workshops to help build a better society,” added Dr. T Appi Reddy, Senior Consultant – Emergency Medicine, SLG Hospitals.
The event coordinated by Ms. Padma of GRIET, was attended by Dr. Mrunal, Consultant Orthopedics; Dr. Syed Arsalan, Register Orthopedics; along with Dr. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Dr. T. Appi Reddy. SLG Hospitals has always been at the forefront of creating awareness on various aspects of healthcare among various sections in the society. The hospital has been organizing many such knowledge sessions on issues adversely impacting the humankind.
