Speaking to some of the beneficiaries and district collectors across the state, through video conference, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said “The government has ensured credibility without any prejudice and injustice done to the public, be it in distribution of ration cards, pension cards, or any other welfare related schemes. When compared to the previous government, the number of beneficiaries through these welfare schemes have only increased in lakhs. Without any traces of corruption or mediators, we have ensured that the money disbursement is directly sent to the accounts of the beneficiaries.”
The Andhra Pradesh government is the only state government that is implementing schemes in a 100% saturation mode ensuring all the eligible get benefitted. In a first of its kind initiative, the list of all the beneficiaries is displayed in the village/ward secretariats for social audits and the entire process is done in a transparent manner with no discrimination on basis of caste, community, religion, or party. If found eligible after verification, they are paid immediately after June for all the welfare schemes implemented between December and May. For all the schemes implemented between June and November, the left outs are being paid in December.
