As part of the offer, Paytm merchants will be able to earn an additional Rs 2,100 per month by accepting payments from the Paytm app, aimed at incentivising digital payments.
Consumers will also get up to Rs 100 on their 1st UPI payment as part of the offer. All they have to do to avail the offer is to make a payment using UPI after scanning Paytm QR at a shop. This will also benefit merchants as more Paytm QR transactions will translate to higher earnings as part of the offer.
The offer is aimed at rewarding existing merchant partners and acquiring new ones as part of the company’s larger goal to boost digital payment adoption across the country. The company’s sales team will also run an education and awareness programme that will educate merchants about the offer as well as the importance of digital payments.
