Governor pays rich tributes to Potti Sriramulu on Andhra Pradesh Formation Day
Vijayawada, November 1: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan paid rich tributes to Potti Sriramulu by offering flowers to his portrait, on the occasion of Andhra Pradesh Formation Day, at a programme held in Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan on Monday. In an address telecast over Doordarshan, Governor Harichandan convyed his greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh and said that the people of the State would never forget the supreme sacrifice made by Potti Sriramulu, to realise the long-cherished vision of Telugu people for a separate State.
Governor Harichandan further said that Andhra Pradesh is enriched with abundant natural resources and fertile lands with conducive agro-climatic conditions. The State is one of the largest producer and exporter of marine products, contributing 40% share in country’s exports and stood first in the country in exports of marine products, in volume and revenue in the 2020-21, even in the face of difficult conditions created by Covid-19 pandemic, said the Governor.
He further added that with robust physical, social and industrial infrastructure and conducive environement, Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of the leading investment destinations of the country and is poised to become one of India’s best States. He appreciated the untiring efforts of the Doctors, health officials, sanitation workers, voluntary organizations and others for their hard work and helping the people, during the difficult situation created due to Covid-19 pandemic.
