Hyderabad, May 27th, 2021: A 91-year-old Covid-19+ve patient who suffered multiple fractures due to a fall at home was successfully operated on and treated at the Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital recently. P Radhakrishna Murthy, a resident of Hyderabad city, was rushed to Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital on night of April 30th, after suffering fractures at home. The patient tested Covid-19+ve; and was isolated for future treatment purposes. For over a week, the patient was treated for Covid-19, and during this period extra care was given to ensure his fractures does not aggravate.

Commenting on this challenges case, Dr. V V Satyanarayana, Consultant Orthopaedic & Arthroplasty Surgeon said, “The victim testing Covid-19+ve made this case extremely complicated! Initially, he was put under the care of Dr. Sudhir Prasad, Consultant Pulmonologist & Sleep expert and team, who successfully treated the patient for coronavirus infection. The patient was receiving all necessary treatment from pulmonology department; and was discharged once he tested Covid-19-ve. Mr. Murthy is now able to walk with support and would be leading a normal, pain-free days soon,” added Dr. Satyanarayana.

The family members of the victim are happy with the progress made by Mr. Murthy; and hope he will soon be able to manage his daily routine activities all by himself without need for any physical support.
