Plot Summary
Karthik (Jayam Ravi) is a young man from a middle-class family in Visakhapatnam. His father, Kumaraswamy (Achyuth Kumar), is a retired college principal, and his mother, Saraswati (Seetha), constantly encourages him to complete his long-pending degree. Karthik, known for his honesty and strong stand against corruption and injustice, often lands in trouble due to his idealistic nature.

Karthik's elder sister, Anandi (Bhumika), is married and lives in Ooty with her in-laws. Her husband, Aravind (Natarajan Subramanian), works as a forest officer, while her father-in-law, Shivagurunath (Rao Ramesh), serves as a district collector, and her mother-in-law, Hemamalini (Saranya), is a lawyer. "Brother" is essentially the story of a younger brother who resolves the challenges he inadvertently creates in his sister’s life. It is a family drama that revolves around emotions, primarily focusing on the bond between siblings. The first half of the film explores how Karthik's honesty disrupts not only his family’s peace but also his sister’s marital life. The second half shifts to his efforts to rectify the problems he caused, with a significant revelation adding a crucial twist to the narrative.

Director Rajesh tells the story with clarity from start to finish. The characterization is well-crafted, and the execution is consistent without notable flaws.
