Plot Summary:
The story begins in 2007, set in Visakhapatnam. Vyjayanthi (Vijayashanthi), a sincere Police Commissioner, is married to Viswanath (Anand), a coast guard officer. Their son, Arjun (Kalyan Ram), is being groomed to follow in their footsteps by becoming an IPS officer. While Arjun heads to Delhi for training, tragedy strikes — Viswanath is presumed dead at sea, shattering the family.

Meanwhile, in Mumbai, gangster Pathan (Sohel Khan) rises to power, operating an illegal network with support from his close aide Thangavel and his two sons. In Visakhapatnam, Pathan’s associates Mahankali and Paidithalli run the local operations. Arjun believes Paidithalli is responsible for his father’s death and expects justice.

However, since Viswanath’s body is never found, Paidithalli escapes legal punishment. Frustrated, Arjun takes matters into his own hands and kills Paidithalli in the court premises. His mother Vyjayanthi testifies against him, leading to his arrest. What happens next? What sacrifices does Arjun make for his mother? Who is the mastermind behind Pathan? Analysis:
The film is centered on a mother’s dream to see her son become a police officer and a son's transformation into a criminal in pursuit of vengeance for his father's death. The title Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi evokes a nostalgic ‘90s vibe, and the storytelling style also follows that pattern.

Despite the familiar plot, director Pradeep Chilukuri pays extra attention to character introductions — particularly the hero and the villain. The villain’s entry is intense, while the hero’s entry is stylized to create mass appeal. Arjun’s action sequences, especially those protecting his mother and wife (played by Saiee Manjrekar), are impressive. A pre-climax twist and a surprising climax add some intrigue.

However, the film treads a familiar path with no evident efforts to introduce novelty. The story feels repetitive, and the attempt to present it freshly doesn’t fully materialize.

Performances:
Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanthi deliver sincere performances. Kalyan Ram's appearance, particularly his hairstyle, and Vijayashanthi's look could have been handled with a bit more care. Saiee Manjrekar looks elegant but has a limited role. Srikanth and Sohel Khan justify their characters well.

Technical Aspects:
Cinematographer Ram Prasad captures the action sequences effectively. Ajaneesh Loknath's music is average, but the background score significantly enhances the film’s emotional and action moments. The editing, especially in the flashback episodes, could have been tighter. Srikanth Vissa’s dialogues add some sharpness to the narrative. Overall, the film boasts rich production values consistent with its big-banner image.

Arjun S/O Vyjayanthi places strong emphasis on action and emotions, sidelining romance and comedy entirely. The overloaded character count slightly affects clarity. The grandeur and emotional weight keep the audience somewhat engaged, but the predictable storyline and lack of freshness reduce its overall impact. A film that looks and feels big, but ultimately plays safe within a regular format.
