Solar Energy Can Generate Additional Income: CM Chandrababu
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu conducted a review on the development of solar energy production in Andhra Pradesh. During the discussion, he reviewed the 'Suryaghar' scheme being implemented by the Central Government. Speaking on this occasion, he emphasized that every home and office should become a solar energy production center.
In the solar energy policy, households can utilize the electricity for their own needs and sell any surplus power to DISCOMs, thus creating an opportunity for additional income. The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that the state's residents gain maximum benefits through schemes like the PM Suryaghar and KUSUM programs.
Kuppam as a Pilot for Solar Village
The review also covered the concept of a solar village. CM Chandrababu has selected Kuppam, his home constituency, as a pilot project for achieving 100% solar power supply.
