Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Visakhapatnam Visit Cancelled

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam on the 29th of this month, has now cancelled his trip. The PMO announced that the decision was made in light of the cyclone threat looming over Andhra Pradesh.

The Prime Minister's itinerary included the foundation stone laying for the NTPC Green Hydrogen Hub, along with inaugurating several railway projects and national highways. Additionally, plans were in place for a rally and a public meeting during Modi's visit, where he was expected to formally launch various developmental projects.

Preparations were being made at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds for the public meeting. However, following the PMO’s announcement, these arrangements are reported to have been halted.

Meanwhile, a low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a depression and is likely to develop into a cyclone, according to weather agencies.
