Lookout Notice Issued Against YouTuber Sunny Yadav
Suryapet police have issued a lookout notice against YouTube influencer Sunny Yadav in connection with a case involving the promotion of betting apps. Sunny Yadav, known for his bike-riding videos, is facing allegations of promoting betting apps through his social media accounts, which allegedly led to financial losses among youth who became addicted to betting. A case was registered against him at the Nuthankal police station on the 5th of this month. He is currently reported to be abroad.
Police suspect that Sunny Yadav may have crossed the Wagah border into Pakistan, which led to the issuance of the lookout notice. As a result, immigration authorities are expected to arrest him as soon as he re-enters India.
It is alleged that Sunny Yadav earned substantial income from promoting these betting apps. His promotion of these apps is believed to have influenced youth into betting, leading to financial distress.
The crackdown on betting apps has intensified under the initiative of RTC MD V.C. Sajjanar, with several celebrities already facing legal action. The Nuthankal police have filed cases against Sunny Yadav under sections 111(2), 318(4), 46 R/W 61(2) of the BNS, along with sections 3 and 4 of the Telangana State Gaming Act (TSGA), and sections 66-C and 66-D of the Information Technology Act (2000-2008).
Following the issuance of the lookout notice, it is reported that Sunny Yadav has approached the court through his lawyers seeking anticipatory bail. Meanwhile, police continue to search for him.
