YS Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case: Sunitha Seeks Daily Hearings in CBI Court

Sunitha, the daughter of YS Vivekananda Reddy, has filed a petition in the Telangana High Court regarding the investigation of her father's murder case. In her petition, she named the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a respondent and requested the court to direct the CBI court to conduct daily hearings on the case. A special bench of the High Court is currently examining the petition.

Sunitha noted in her petition that despite the investigation continuing for nearly four years, there has been no significant progress in the case.

During the High Court hearing, Sunitha’s lawyer argued that the murder occurred on the midnight of March 14, 2019, and the CBI officials have already filed two charge sheets in the case. The lawyer urged the court to instruct the CBI court to conclude the trial within six months.

It was also stated that the CBI officials handed over hard disks to the defendants, but they were unable to access them, causing a delay in the proceedings for the past fifteen months.

In her petition, Sunitha listed all the accused in her father’s murder case as respondents, in addition to the CBI officials. The special bench, after examining the matter, granted permission to Sunitha’s lawyer to issue personal notices to all the accused, including the CBI. The next hearing has been adjourned for four weeks.
