BRS Silver Jubilee: KTR Praises NTR and KCR’s Achievements

BRS Working President and former minister K.T. Rama Rao held a preparatory meeting today with party leaders and workers to discuss the arrangements for the BRS silver jubilee celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, K.T. Rama Rao stated that there are only two political parties that have successfully existed for more than twenty-five years on Telugu soil: the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
He acknowledged that in the past, people from Andhra Pradesh were referred to as "Madrasis" and credited Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) for establishing the TDP and proving that Telugu people had their own identity within India. K.T. Rama Rao asserted that the distinction of bringing special recognition to the Telugu people belongs to NTR.
He further remarked that while NTR demonstrated the existence of a unique identity for the Telugu people, K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) similarly proved the existence of Telangana as a distinct entity.
K.T. Rama Rao emphasized that while NTR founded the TDP to uphold the self-respect of the Telugu people, KCR was the courageous leader who established a party for Telangana, creating a massive movement from nothing and risking his life to achieve the formation of Telangana. He praised KCR as a great leader who accomplished this remarkable feat.
