McDonald’s Chooses Hyderabad for New Global Office, Signs Agreement with Telangana

McDonald’s, the American multinational corporation, currently operates 38 outlets in Telangana, with plans to expand by opening three to four new outlets annually. As part of its growth strategy, McDonald’s India will establish a global office in Hyderabad.

Representatives of McDonald’s signed an agreement with the Telangana government on Wednesday to proceed with this establishment. The new office is expected to provide employment opportunities to around 2,000 people in Hyderabad.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held discussions with McDonald’s Chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski and other company representatives at his chamber in the Assembly on Wednesday. Following the discussions, the company and the state government formalized an investment partnership to set up the global office.

Expressing his satisfaction over McDonald’s decision to establish a global center in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that while several states were competing to host this global center, McDonald’s choice of Telangana as its investment destination was a matter of pride. He assured the company of full support from the government.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, Special Chief Secretary for Industries Jayesh Ranjan, and Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ajit Reddy.
