Telangana Budget Presented with an Outlay of ₹3.04 Lakh Crore

Telangana's Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state's budget for the financial year 2025-26 in the Legislative Assembly. The budget has been designed with an outlay of ₹3,04,965 crore. This marks the first full-fledged budget introduced by the Congress government since coming to power in the state.
While presenting the budget, Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the government is working with sincerity for the sustainable development of Telangana. He asserted that the administration is taking steps to restore the state's economy, which he claimed was weakened under the previous government. He also emphasized that the Congress-led government is committed to providing accountable governance to the people of Telangana.
The minister highlighted key priorities, including improved healthcare for every citizen and strengthening the education system. He affirmed that the government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers. Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, he said, “Remember the face of the weakest and the poorest person you have seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to them.” Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the government is moving forward with this principle in mind.
He further noted that the administration is successfully delivering good governance while ensuring public welfare and accountability. He reiterated that the government is constantly striving to uphold the trust placed in it by the people of Telangana and emphasized that public responsibilities have not been compromised for personal gains.
