Telangana SSC Exams: Key Guidelines and Security Measures Announced

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Telangana, Hyderabad, has announced that the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Public Examinations for March 2025 will be conducted from March 21, 2025, to April 4, 2025, across 2,650 examination centers throughout the state.
The examinations will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, except for the First Language Composite Course and Science subjects. The First Language Composite Course be held from 9:30 AM to 12:50 PM, while the Science subject will be conducted in two parts: Part-I (Physical Science) and Part-II (Biological Science), each held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on separate days.
A total of 5,09,403 students (comprising 2,58,895 boys and 2,50,508 girls) from 11,547 schools have registered for the examinations. To oversee the smooth conduct of the exams, 2,650 Chief Superintendents, 2,650 Departmental Officers, and 28,100 invigilators have been appointed.
Hall Tickets and Examination Arrangements
Hall tickets have been dispatched to schools through the respective District Educational Officers. Students can collect their hall tickets from their school headmasters or download them from the official website, www.bse.telangana.gov.in, starting from March 7, 2025.
A 24-hour control room has been established at the Office of the Director of Government Examinations in Hyderabad (Phone: 040-23230942) and at all District Educational Offices to address any grievances or concerns during the examination period.
Candidates will be permitted to enter the examination centers until 9:35 AM (including a five-minute grace period). However, they are advised to reach the examination centers by 8:30 AM, considering weather and traffic conditions. Students are encouraged to visit their assigned examination centers one or two days before the commencement of the exams to familiarize themselves with the location.
Senior officers from the School Education Department have been appointed as District-Level Observers to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations. Adequate police security will be deployed at all examination centers, and Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.PC) will be enforced around examination centers to maintain order. Additionally, nearby photocopy (Xerox) centers will remain closed during examination hours.
Anti-Malpractice Measures and Security Protocols
To prevent malpractices, 144 flying squads and sitting squads have been constituted to monitor examination centers. CCTV cameras have been installed in the Chief Superintendent's room at each examination center to ensure strict supervision. The use of mobile phones and electronic gadgets within examination centers is strictly prohibited for both students and staff involved in examination duties.
All examination personnel are required to wear photo identity cards to prevent unauthorized access to examination centers.
Students are allowed to carry only essential items into the examination hall, including:
- Hall ticket
- Exam pad
- Pen, pencil, scale, sharpener, eraser, and geometric instruments
OMR sheets will be verified by invigilators before being issued to students. Candidates are required to write their hall ticket number on each page of Part-A of the question paper. They are prohibited from writing their hall ticket number, name, signature, or any identifying mark on the answer booklet, Part-B (bit paper), graphs, or maps.
Candidates must attach Part-B (bit paper), graphs, and maps to the answer booklet and secure them with thread before submission. A single answer booklet with either 24 or 12 pages will be provided instead of separate main and additional sheets.
The question papers will feature QR codes and serial numbers to enhance security and prevent leakage.
Consequences for Malpractice and Negligence
Candidates found engaging in copying or mass copying will be debarred from future examinations as per G.O. Rt.No.872 issued by the Education (Exams) Department on May 16, 1992. Any staff member found negligent in their examination duties will face disciplinary action under the Telangana Public Examinations Act, 1997 and the applicable CCA rules.
The contact details of the District Educational Officer, Tahsildar, and Mandal Educational Officer will be displayed prominently at each examination center for easy access to assistance.
