Ahead of England Series, Ganguly Shares Crucial Advice for Rohit

The Indian cricket team has played ten Test matches over the past five months against Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Australia, securing victory in only three of them. While India managed a 2-0 series win against Bangladesh, it suffered defeats against New Zealand. In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, India won the first match against Australia in Perth but subsequently lost the remaining matches, resulting in a 1-3 series defeat.
Amid these developments, former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has expressed dissatisfaction with the team’s performance and has offered crucial advice to captain Rohit Sharma. With India set to play a five-match Test series against England, Ganguly emphasized that Rohit Sharma must rectify his mistakes in the longer format.
Ganguly highlighted Rohit Sharma’s success as captain of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and his achievements in white-ball cricket. He stressed that Rohit should also steer the Indian Test team towards consistent success.
Acknowledging the team’s struggles in red-ball cricket, Ganguly pointed out the importance of delivering a strong performance in the upcoming Test series in England. He advised Rohit Sharma to find a way to lead the team effectively in the Test format.
