Araku Coffee Stall Set Up in Parliament Premises

The Andhra Pradesh government has been actively promoting Araku coffee, and in line with this initiative, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Members of Parliament had previously requested Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to permit the establishment of Araku coffee stalls within the Parliament premises.

Following this request, the Speaker has granted approval for setting up Araku coffee stalls in the Parliament compound. Lok Sabha Deputy Secretary Ajit Kumar Sahoo has issued the necessary orders, informing Vizianagaram MP Kalishetti Appalanaidu through an official letter.

According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, these stalls can be set up at designated locations within the Parliament building, including near the Sangam area and Nalanda Library, ensuring convenience for Members of Parliament.

Araku coffee has gained national attention, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi previously mentioning it in his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address.
