American AI Researcher Lex Fridman Recites Gayatri Mantra Before PM Modi
American artificial intelligence researcher Lex Fridman recited the Gayatri Mantra in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a podcast interview. Fridman’s effort was met with appreciation from Modi. The Indian Prime Minister participated in Fridman’s podcast, which lasted for nearly three hours.
As the episode neared its conclusion, Fridman asked Modi, “Can you guide me for a few moments with a Hindu prayer or meditation?” He shared that he had been trying to learn the Gayatri Mantra and had attempted to chant it while fasting. He then requested Modi to elaborate on the significance of the mantra and the role of spirituality in life.
Expressing his intent to recite the Gayatri Mantra, Fridman proceeded to chant it. After completing the recitation, he asked Modi whether he had pronounced it correctly.
Responding to Fridman, Prime Minister Modi praised his efforts, stating that he had recited the mantra well. Modi explained that the Gayatri Mantra is dedicated to the radiant energy of the Sun and is regarded as a powerful means of attaining spiritual enlightenment.
