‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’: Telangana Govt to Offer Loans for Self-Employment

The Telangana government has announced a new initiative for unemployed youth under the ‘Rajiv Yuva Vikasam’ scheme, which comes into effect today. As part of this scheme, youth seeking self-employment will be provided loans ranging from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh. The program will be implemented with the support of the SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare Departments.

Eligible candidates must apply by April 5 to avail of the benefits. The scheme is set to be implemented with a total budget of ₹6,000 crore and aims to assist at least five lakh beneficiaries across the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will officially launch the application process for the scheme today.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, along with BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, reviewed the scheme’s implementation in a meeting held yesterday.
