Vijayashanti, Addanki Dayakar, and Dasoju Sravan Elected as MLCs Unopposed

Elections for the five Member of Legislative Council (MLC) seats under the MLA quota in Telangana have concluded unopposed. The Election Officer announced that as only five nominations were received for the five seats, all candidates were elected unopposed.
The Indian National Congress fielded three candidates, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) nominated one candidate, and the Communist Party of India (CPI) put forward one candidate. Consequently, Congress candidates Vijayashanti, Addanki Dayakar, and Shankar Naik, along with BRS candidate Dasoju Sravan and CPI candidate Nellikanti Satyam, have been declared elected as MLCs.
In addition to these five candidates, six independent candidates had also submitted nominations. However, their applications were rejected by the Returning Officer on the grounds that they did not meet the required criteria. The deadline for withdrawing nominations ended at 5 PM today. Since no additional nominations were received before the deadline, the Election Officer officially confirmed the unopposed election of the five candidates.
