Trump Buys Tesla Car in Support of Elon Musk
U.S. President Donald Trump has purchased a Tesla Model X, fulfilling his recent statement that he would buy a Tesla to show his support for Elon Musk. Trump selected a red-colored Model X and confirmed that he paid $80,000 for the vehicle without accepting any discounts.

"If I had asked, Musk would have given me a discount, but I didn’t take one because I didn’t want any criticism that I was receiving benefits from Tesla," Trump stated.

On Tuesday, various Tesla car models were showcased on the White House premises, and Trump personally chose the red Model X before making the payment. He later posed for photographs with Elon Musk while seated inside the car.

Musk's involvement in Trump’s administration as an advisor has drawn criticism across the U.S., with protests erupting against his influence in government affairs. Recently, demonstrators gathered in front of Tesla showrooms, protesting Musk’s role in policymaking. These protests have reportedly impacted Tesla’s car sales, leading to a decline in the company’s stock value.

Amid this controversy, Trump recently spoke to the media, praising Musk as a "great patriot" and reaffirming his support for him. To demonstrate this backing, Trump announced his intention to purchase a Tesla vehicle. Following this, Musk arranged for several of Tesla’s latest models to be brought to the White House, where he personally briefed Trump on their features. The event temporarily transformed the White House grounds into a Tesla showroom.
