Srivari Teppotsavam Begins Grandly in Tirumala

The annual Srivari Teppotsavam (Float Festival) commenced grandly in Tirumala on Sunday evening. The event featured a magnificently decorated float adorned with vibrant floral arrangements and illuminated by electric lights, carrying the deities of Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Anjaneya, offering devotees a divine spectacle.
As part of the festival, the procession of the Utsava Murthis (festival deities) of Sri Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, and Anjaneya began at 6 PM, moving through the four Mada Streets of the temple before reaching the Pushkarini (temple tank). On the first day, the deities were taken on the float for three ceremonial rounds in the Pushkarini, blessing the assembled devotees. The event was accompanied by Vedic chants and traditional music, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The celebrations saw the participation of Tirumala Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swami, Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami, Additional EO Sri C.H. Venkayya Chowdary, Deputy EO Sri Lokanatham, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, and other officials.
