Venkaiah Naidu’s Power and Punch Remain Intact: Chandrababu

The book launch event for Prapancha Charitra (World History), authored by Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, took place in Visakhapatnam. The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu.

Speaking at the event, Chandrababu Naidu reflected on his long association with Venkaiah Naidu. “In 1978, both of us were elected as MLAs for the first time. Even after all these years, his power has not diminished, and his punchlines have only increased. He always speaks in pure Telugu. Born into a humble family, he rose through the ranks to become the Vice President of India,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu also spoke about the history of GITAM University, mentioning its founder, MVVS Murthi. “The previous government tried to demolish GITAM University. MVVS Murthi created history. I once asked him why he decided to establish GITAM University. He told me that when my second son was denied admission to Siddhartha College in Vijayawada, he took it as a challenge and resolved to build a better educational institution. That is how GITAM University came into existence,” the Chief Minister recalled.
