CM Chandrababu Backs Three-Language Policy

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu defended the central government's three-language policy, stating that language is merely a tool for communication. He questioned why learning English as an international language and Hindi as the most widely spoken language in India should be an issue alongside one's mother tongue. While acknowledging that knowledge is best acquired in one's native language, he emphasized that there is nothing wrong with learning additional languages.
Chandrababu Naidu also dismissed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s concerns over constituency delimitation. He asserted that delimitation is necessary for national interests and clarified that the NDA-led central government has no ulterior political motives in implementing it.
Responding to Stalin’s remarks, Chandrababu Naidu stated that constituency delimitation is now an urgent requirement. He claimed to have initiated discussions on the necessity of addressing India's growing population and pointed out that boundary redefinition is a continuous process, occurring every 25 years. He urged that national interests should take precedence in such discussions, emphasizing that boundary adjustments and population management are distinct issues.
Additionally, Chandrababu Naidu revealed that plans are underway to introduce ten foreign languages in Andhra Pradesh universities. He explained that learning foreign languages would enable students to pursue job opportunities in their preferred countries, enhancing their career prospects.
