SkillBee Signs MoU in Presence of Minister Nara Lokesh to Train AP Nursing Students

In a significant development aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for nursing students in Andhra Pradesh, the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SkillBee India Private Limited. The agreement, formalized in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT Nara Lokesh, seeks to provide specialized training in the German language and nursing skills to students pursuing B.Sc. Nursing, General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) courses.

Speaking at the event, Nara Lokesh highlighted the increasing demand for nursing professionals in Germany, stating that the country currently faces a shortage of approximately 300,000 nursing candidates in elder care and hospitals. He emphasized that this MoU will enable nursing students from Andhra Pradesh to seize job opportunities in Germany and other European nations by equipping them with the necessary linguistic and professional skills. According to Lokesh, the initiative is expected to secure jobs with attractive salary packages for at least 1,000 nursing students annually.

SkillBee India Private Limited Co-Founder Vinjamuri Ravichandra Gowtham and CEO Ujjwal Chauhan stated that their organization has already facilitated employment for over 10,000 candidates in various international markets. They further mentioned that SkillBee is recognized as a top-tier global recruitment startup, actively placing candidates in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, and other Eastern European nations.

As part of this collaboration, APSSDC and SkillBee will offer free German language training to nursing graduates specializing in B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, and ANM, ensuring their placement in European healthcare institutions. The organizations aim to address language skill gaps and position Andhra Pradesh as a leading hub for skilled professionals.

The initiative will focus on training over 4,000 nursing students from government and private nursing colleges in Visakhapatnam, the erstwhile East Godavari district, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, and surrounding areas.

The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Skill Development and Training Principal Secretary Kona Sasidhar, APSSDC CEO Ganesh Kumar, Executive Director Manohar, and MediRecruit MD Ronald Reske.
