TSRTC to Operate 3,000 Special Buses for Maha Shivaratri

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced plans to run 3,000 special buses from February 24 to 28 in view of the Maha Shivaratri festival on February 26. These buses will connect various parts of the state to 43 prominent Shaiva pilgrimage sites.
TSRTC has allocated 800 buses for Srisailam, 714 for Vemulawada, 444 for Edupayala, 270 for Keesaragutta, 171 for Vailas, 80 for Kaleshwaram, and 51 for Vemulawada. Additionally, special buses will operate to Alampur, Uma Maheshwaram, Palakurthi, Ramappa, and other temple towns.
In Hyderabad, buses to the Srisailam pilgrimage site will be available from major bus stations, including MGBS, JBS, CBS, IS Sadan, KPHB, and BHEL. TSRTC has also arranged for amenities such as tents, seating, drinking water, and a public address system at key locations.
As per a government order, ticket prices for the special services have been revised by 50%, while regular service fares remain unchanged. The revised fares for the special buses will be in effect from February 24 to 28.
