Byelections Certain in Telangana: KCR’s Key Remarks
Former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrashekar Rao has stated that byelections in Telangana are inevitable. Addressing an extended executive meeting of the BRS at the party office in Hyderabad, he called on party members to demonstrate their strength in the upcoming byelections. Expressing confidence in the party’s resurgence, he asserted that BRS would return to power in the next Assembly elections.

K. Chandrashekar Rao dismissed concerns over the party’s recent electoral defeat, emphasizing that a single loss does not diminish BRS’s standing. He reiterated that BRS is the identity of Telangana and accused the current Congress government of reversing the state's progress. He alleged that Telangana, which had recovered from past setbacks, was once again being pushed into turmoil under Congress rule. He urged the people to safeguard the state from exploitation and external influence.

He further claimed that the popularity of the Congress government in Telangana was declining rapidly and predicted that the party would not secure another victory in the future. He also remarked that the current Chief Minister is facing intense public discontent, which, according to him, had surfaced much sooner than expected.

K. Chandrashekar Rao highlighted that during BRS rule, the state's revenue increased year after year. He pointed out that the same government officials were still in place but accused the Congress administration of failing to utilize them effectively. He announced that a membership registration drive would commence on April 10, with district centers overseeing the process. Additionally, he urged party workers to actively fight for public issues.
