Kesineni Nani Reappears in Public After a Long Hiatus

Former Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani, who joined the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) before the last elections and suffered defeat in the Lok Sabha polls, has resurfaced in the public sphere after a prolonged absence. Following his loss to his younger brother Kesineni Chinni (Shivanath) in the previous elections, he distanced himself from politics and even announced his withdrawal from political life.

Speaking at a recent event in Nandigama, Kesineni Nani clarified that although he stepped away from politics, he remains committed to public service. He asserted that despite not holding an official position, he would continue to be accessible to the people. Reflecting on his past tenure, he remarked, “For the past ten years, I have worked without even accepting a cup of tea from anyone.”

Expressing his deep attachment to Vijayawada, Kesineni Nani stated that the city had given him the opportunity to serve as an MP twice, and he would always remain dedicated to its development. He highlighted his role in the construction of the Durga Temple Flyover, a project he deemed nearly impossible but successfully completed with the support of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. However, he expressed disappointment that many of his contributions had been overlooked.
