Sharmila Demands Answers from BJP on Pulwama Attack After Six Years

On February 14, 2019, a terrorist attack in Pulwama claimed the lives of 40 Indian soldiers. Today, the nation is paying tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama. Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President Y. S. Sharmila has responded to the occasion with a sharp critique of the ruling party.

Sharmila expressed her deep respect for the 40 soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama attack, stating, "I pay my heartfelt tributes to the martyrs. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten by this nation."

Calling February 14, 2019, a "black day" in the history of the country, she questioned the government's handling of the attack. "It has been six years since this tragic event. Who benefited the most from this attack? What conclusions have been drawn from the investigation? Who has taken responsibility for the security lapses?" she asked.

She accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of failing to provide answers to these critical questions posed by the Congress. "To this day, BJP has not responded. The central government lacks the courage to release a white paper on the Pulwama attack," Sharmila alleged.
