Minister Sandhya Rani’s Gunman Suspended

Andhra Pradesh Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani’s gunman, G.V. Ramana, has been suspended following an incident involving a missing magazine containing 30 bullets.

The incident occurred when Ramana, after finishing his duty, was on his way home. His bag, which contained the magazine, went missing, causing concern within the police department. Parvathipuram Manyam district Superintendent of Police (SP) took the matter seriously and ordered Ramana’s suspension.

Ramana was assigned to Sandhya Rani’s escort vehicle on a rotational basis. On the previous morning, he had submitted his rifle at the district headquarters but had not handed over the magazine containing the bullets.

A native of a village near Vizianagaram, Ramana had visited a document writer’s office near the district collectorate for personal work. While there, he placed his bag on the ground and got occupied with his tasks. Later, he realized that the bag was missing and immediately reported the incident to the police.

Law enforcement officials are currently searching for the missing bag and reviewing CCTV footage. However, as of now, the bag has not been recovered.
