CRPF Jawan Shoots Two Colleagues Dead, Kills Himself in Manipur

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan opened fire on his colleagues at his own camp, killing two personnel before turning the gun on himself. The incident, which also left eight others seriously injured, took place at around 8 PM at the CRPF camp in Lamshang, Imphal West district, Manipur.
Manipur police confirmed the tragic event, stating that the motive behind the shooting is suspected to be a personal dispute. However, a detailed investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause.
Following the attack, the injured personnel were immediately rushed to a hospital for treatment. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and security has been heightened in the area.
The incident comes a day after President's Rule was imposed in Manipur following the resignation of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. In response to the ongoing security concerns, additional army forces have been deployed outside Kangla Fort in Imphal.
