Telangana to Conduct Caste Census Again: Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka

The Telangana government has decided to conduct a caste census once again, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka announced. The survey will take place from February 16 to 28 across the state. He stated that this decision was made to account for those who were not included in the previous survey.
According to Vikramarka, approximately 3.1% of Telangana’s population was not covered in the earlier caste census. To ensure their inclusion in the state’s demographic records, the government has decided to conduct a fresh survey.
Previously, a comprehensive family survey was carried out over nearly 25 days, during which caste enumeration was also undertaken. The findings of this survey were presented by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in the state assembly.
