Chief Accused Veeraraghava Reddy Confesses in Rangarajan Attack Case

Police investigations continue in the attack case on Chilkur Balaji Temple's chief priest, C.S. Rangarajan. Authorities have arrested six individuals, including the primary accused, Veeraraghava Reddy, while 16 others remain at large. Multiple cases have been registered against Veeraraghava Reddy, the founder of the Ramrajyam organization, at Abids, Golconda, and Banjara Hills police stations.

In connection with the attack, the police have identified a total of 22 accused individuals. Key details from the remand report have surfaced, revealing that Veeraraghava Reddy has confessed to the crime during interrogation.

According to the investigation, Veeraraghava Reddy met priest Rangarajan in January, proposing a certain plan. When Rangarajan did not respond as expected, the accused convened a meeting on January 25 at Penugonda Temple. They met again on February 4 in Dammaiguda, where they decided to attack Rangarajan if he refused to comply with their demands.

On February 7, the accused went to Rangarajan’s residence and threatened severe consequences if he did not comply. They later attacked Rangarajan and recorded the attack on video. The accused then uploaded the footage online.
