Shubman Gill Scores Century, Achieves Rare Feat

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill delivered a stunning century in the third ODI against England, continuing his strong form in the series. Playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gill reached his century in just 95 balls. He brought up the milestone with a boundary off Mark Wood’s bowling, marking his seventh century in ODI cricket.

Gill also etched his name in the record books by becoming one of the few players to score a century in all three formats at a single venue. Previously, this feat had been achieved by Faf du Plessis (Wanderers, Johannesburg), David Warner (Adelaide Oval), Babar Azam (National Stadium, Karachi), and Quinton de Kock (SuperSport Park, Centurion). Now, Gill has joined this elite group with his achievement at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Regarding the match, India, after losing the toss and being put to bat, reached 225/2 in 34 overs. Gill remained unbeaten on 112, while Shreyas Iyer contributed 51 runs. Gill's knock included 14 fours and 3 sixes, whereas Iyer struck 6 fours and 1 six. Among England’s bowlers, Mark Wood and Adil Rashid claimed one wicket each.
