Andhra Pradesh Assembly Budget Session: Key Dates Announced

The Andhra Pradesh government is preparing to present a full-fledged budget for the 2025-26 financial year. In July, the Chandrababu Naidu-led government had introduced a vote-on-account budget. Now, a gazette notification has been issued for the Assembly session, where the complete budget will be presented. The budget session is scheduled to commence on the 24th of this month, starting with an address by the Governor. Both houses of the legislature will be addressed by the Governor as part of the proceedings.

Ahead of the session, a meeting with government whips is scheduled for tomorrow, led by the Chief Whip, to discuss session arrangements. Following the Governor’s address on the 24th, the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will convene to determine the duration of the session. The full-fledged budget is set to be presented on the 28th of this month.
