President Droupadi Murmu Takes Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam

President Droupadi Murmu visited Prayagraj to participate in the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. On this occasion, she performed a sacred bath at Triveni Sangam. Before the ritual, the President offered special prayers in Prayagraj and took a boat ride.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed President Droupadi Murmu at the airport and escorted her to the Kumbh Mela. Additionally, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on the same day.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which commenced on January 13, will continue until February 26. The 45-day-long religious gathering is expected to draw approximately 400 million devotees from across India and abroad, according to estimates by the Uttar Pradesh government. Officials have reported that more than 350 million people have already participated in the ritual bath so far.
