Rohit Sharma Breaks Multiple Records with Century in Cuttack ODI, Surpasses Sachin Tendulkar

Indian captain Rohit Sharma made a remarkable comeback with a brilliant century (119) in the second ODI against England, held in Cuttack on Sunday as part of the three-match series. The "Hitman" reached his hundred in just 76 balls, bringing back memories of his vintage self by completing the milestone with a six when he was on 96.

Having struggled with form in recent months, this century comes as a significant relief for Rohit, especially with the ICC Champions Trophy approaching. Notably, this was his first century in nearly 16 months, adding to the significance of the knock.

Apart from scoring his 32nd ODI century, Rohit also set three new records during the match, including surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in one of them.

In addition to his individual achievements, Rohit played a captain’s knock to lead India to a commanding victory. Contributions from Shubman Gill, Axar Patel, and Shreyas Iyer helped India chase down England’s target of 305 runs with ease. With this win, India sealed the ODI series 2-0.
