Floodlight Failure Interrupts Second ODI Between India and England

The second ODI between India and England faced an unexpected interruption due to a floodlight failure at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. The incident occurred during India's batting innings in the seventh over, right after the first delivery, when one of the floodlight towers in the stadium went dark. As a result, the umpires halted play due to insufficient visibility on the field.

After approximately 20 minutes, the ground staff managed to restore the floodlights, allowing the match to resume. Meanwhile, spectators in the stadium turned on their mobile phone flashlights, creating a striking visual moment.
Strong Start for Team India

Earlier in the match, England, batting first, was bowled out for 304 runs in 49.5 overs. Chasing a challenging target, India made a solid start, with captain Rohit Sharma silencing his critics by scoring a quick half-century.

Rohit played an aggressive knock, smashing 53 runs off 33 balls, which included four fours and four sixes. At the other end, Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 22. By the end of 10 overs, India had reached 77 runs without losing a wicket, needing 228 more runs from the remaining 40 overs to secure victory.
