KTR Demands Apology from Revanth Reddy for Underreporting BC Population

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) held a meeting with Backward Class (BC) leaders of the party at Telangana Bhavan. Speaking to the media afterward, he alleged that the recently released caste census report had underreported the BC population by 5.5%, effectively excluding around 22 lakh people from the count. KTR strongly criticized this discrepancy and demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy apologize to the BC community for the misrepresentation.

KTR further criticized the caste census, calling it "completely flawed and unscientific." He pointed out that a Congress MLC had even burned a copy of the report in protest, equating it to mere wastepaper. He demanded a re-survey to accurately determine the BC population.

Additionally, KTR expressed anger over Congress leaders' allegations that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, including former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and himself, had not participated in the caste survey. He dismissed these claims and reiterated his party’s demand for a fair and transparent reassessment of the BC population.
