Parvesh Verma’s Wife Reacts to His Victory Over Kejriwal in Delhi Elections

Swati Singh Verma, wife of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Parvesh Verma, stated that her husband was fielded against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Assembly elections because of three key qualities: his hardworking nature, his determination to complete whatever he starts, and his commitment to working without corruption.
Parvesh Verma secured victory over former Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal with a margin of over 4,000 votes. Following the win, Swati Singh Verma expressed her happiness over her husband's success, emphasizing that he stands apart from many other politicians. She remarked that the people of Delhi desired a change and sought a government capable of driving development in the national capital.
She further stated that for the past eleven years, the people of Delhi had been misled by false promises and deceptive narratives. According to her, voters recognized this and therefore supported the BJP in the election.
Addressing speculation about Parvesh Verma being in the race for the Chief Minister’s position, Swati Singh Verma responded that as a newly elected MLA, her husband would focus on the development of Delhi. She also shared that, as in previous elections, she actively campaigned to support her husband's victory.
Swati Singh Verma is the daughter of former Union Minister Vikram Verma.
