Delhi’s New Chief Minister? BJP In-Charge Clarifies

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is showcasing its dominance in the Delhi election results, moving steadily towards a significant victory. With this momentum, discussions over who will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi have intensified.
Addressing the speculation, BJP’s Delhi in-charge Baijayant Panda stated that a decision on the Chief Ministerial candidate will be made within ten days. He emphasized that any elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) could be considered for the position. Panda further mentioned that the party would take into account the opinions of the public and BJP workers, and a report would be submitted to the party’s Parliamentary Board, which will make the final decision. He also asserted that the BJP provides opportunities to ordinary party workers, unlike other parties.
Meanwhile, in a major political upset, BJP candidate Parvesh Verma defeated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency. Following his victory, Verma has emerged as a key figure in the BJP, with his name frequently mentioned in discussions about the Chief Ministerial race. After his win, he met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, further fueling speculation about his potential candidacy.
