Arvind Kejriwal Responds for the First Time to Election Results

Delhi Assembly election results have delivered a major setback to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which was confident of victory until this morning. As vote counting continues, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has taken the lead in most constituencies, leaving the ruling AAP in shock. Prominent leaders, including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Satyendar Jain, have suffered defeat, overwhelmed by the BJP’s surge.
Reacting for the first time to the party’s heavy loss, Arvind Kejriwal stated that he humbly accepts the people’s verdict and respects their decision. He extended his congratulations to the BJP for their victory.
Kejriwal reiterated that he entered politics with the sole purpose of serving the people and asserted that the election results would not diminish his spirit. He expressed gratitude to AAP leaders and workers who fought hard in the elections.
Reflecting on his tenure, Kejriwal highlighted the significant improvements made in Delhi over the past decade, particularly in water supply, electricity, and other essential services. He assured that despite the defeat, AAP remains committed to standing by the people.
Kejriwal conveyed these remarks through a video message.
