AP CID Issues Fresh Notices to Ram Gopal Varma in Another Case

Tollywood’s controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma continues to face legal troubles, with multiple cases being filed against him. He recently appeared before the police for questioning regarding social media posts allegedly defaming Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, and Nara Lokesh. The interrogation took place at Ongole Rural Police Station, where officers questioned him for nearly nine hours.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh CID has issued fresh notices to Ram Gopal Varma in another case. CID Sub-Inspector Tirumala Rao from Guntur served him the notice, directing him to appear for questioning at the CID office in Guntur on February 10.

This case dates back to 2019 when Ram Gopal Varma directed the film "Kamma Rajyamlo Kadapa Reddlu." On November 29, 2023, Bandaru Vamsikrishna, the state spokesperson of Telugu Yuvatha, filed a complaint with the CID, alleging that the movie hurt public sentiments. Based on this complaint, the CID registered a case against Varma and has now summoned him for further investigation.
