Kejriwal and Key AAP Leaders Lag Behind in Delhi Election Results

In the ongoing Delhi Assembly election results, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is trailing behind the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Party’s National Convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who contested for a third consecutive term from the New Delhi constituency, is currently behind. BJP candidate Parvesh Verma is leading in this seat.

Delhi Chief Minister and senior AAP leader Atishi Marlena, who is contesting from the Kalkaji constituency, is also trailing. Similarly, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who contested from the Jangpura constituency, is behind as well, with BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh leading in the race.

However, in the Shakur Basti constituency, AAP candidate and former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain is currently leading. In Greater Kailash, AAP candidate Saurabh Bharadwaj holds a narrow lead of 500 votes.

The BJP is surging ahead, aligning with exit poll predictions. The party has crossed the majority mark of 36 seats and is leading in 50 constituencies, while AAP candidates are ahead in 19 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress party has failed to make a significant impact in the elections.
