Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, recently shared a thought-provoking post on social media, highlighting India's remarkable progress in the automobile sector. Through a series of images, he reflected on how the country has evolved from being an observer in global auto expos to a key player in the industry.
The images, taken at the recent Bharat Mobility Auto Expo in Delhi, show foreign delegates from Japan and South Korea keenly exploring Mahindra's electric SUVs. Reacting to this, Anand Mahindra expressed his emotions by comparing the present scenario with his early days in the automotive sector.
"When I started my career in the automobile industry decades ago, I was part of an Indian delegation traveling abroad for an international auto expo. We took photographs of advanced cars and studied their features," he recalled.
"Recently, at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo, visitors from Japan and Korea were competing to see our Mahindra electric SUVs. How do I describe the emotions I felt watching this? You can imagine how overwhelmed I was," he tweeted.
