Team India Players Shine in New Jersey, But Captain Rohit Sharma Missing from Photos

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a new jersey for the Indian cricket team ahead of the Champions Trophy. Starting from today's ODI series against England, Team India players will take the field wearing this redesigned jersey, which features minor changes compared to the previous version.
In the old jersey, the sleeves had a saffron-colored pattern extending from the shoulders. However, in the new design, the shoulder area now incorporates the tricolor of the Indian national flag, symbolizing a significant message in Indian cricket history. The updated jersey also boasts a more visually appealing look.
Players selected for the ODI squad donned the new jersey and posed for official photographs, which BCCI later shared on its official ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account. However, fans were quick to notice that while the post included photos of Virat Kohli and other team members, captain Rohit Sharma was conspicuously absent. This omission has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with Rohit Sharma’s fans expressing their disappointment over the exclusion of their captain from the official jersey unveiling.
