Andhra Pradesh Employees Can Now Avail Treatment in Telangana Hospitals

The Andhra Pradesh government has taken a key decision regarding the implementation of the state employee health insurance scheme. It has issued orders permitting government employees to receive medical treatment in hospitals recognized by the Telangana Directorate of Medical Education (DME). Additionally, the government has directed the CEO of NTR Vaidya Seva to identify and designate referral hospitals for this purpose.
Previously, several Andhra Pradesh government employees and pensioners who received medical treatment in Telangana hospitals faced difficulties as their reimbursement claims were not being processed.
Following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, many state government employees settled in Hyderabad. Additionally, employees of organizations listed under Schedules 9 and 10 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act continue to reside in the city. In this context, the Andhra Pradesh government has now approved medical treatment for its employees in Telangana hospitals recognized by the DME.
