YS Vivekananda Reddy Murder Case: Police File Case Against Four Based on Approver Dastagiri’s Complaint

Pulivendula police have registered a case against four individuals based on a complaint by Dastagiri, an approver in the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case. The accused include Dr. Chaitanya Reddy, son of murder case suspect Shiva Shankar Reddy, former Jammalamadugu DSP Nagaraju, former Erraguntla CI Eshwarayya, and Prakash, the superintendent of Kadapa Central Jail.
Dastagiri, who was in judicial custody at Kadapa Central Jail from October 2023 to February 2024, alleged that during this period, Nagaraju and Eshwarayya threatened him to speak in favor of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders in the murder case. According to his complaint, in November 2023, Chaitanya Reddy visited the jail and pressured him to give statements against then-CBI SP Ram Singh. Dastagiri further alleged that he was offered ₹20 crore to testify against Ram Singh. He also claimed that jail superintendent Prakash harassed him.
Based on these allegations, police have registered a case against the four individuals.
