Highlighting the significance of defence manufacturing, Lokesh urged the Centre to facilitate the setting up of defence-related industrial units in Andhra Pradesh, emphasizing the sector's potential to attract substantial investments and generate employment opportunities. He stated that the current government is working to restore the state’s progress after what he described as mismanagement by the previous administration.

Lokesh also apprised the Union Minister of the progress in Amaravati’s development and the Polavaram irrigation project, acknowledging the Centre’s support in these areas. He expressed gratitude to the central government for aiding Andhra Pradesh, which he claimed had been burdened with debts amounting to ₹10 lakh crore due to the policies of the previous regime. He further stated that the coalition government is strategically working to align Andhra Pradesh’s growth with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India).
